Lago de Junin

 

grafik_inca grafik_inca Lake Junin, which is also called Chinchaycocha, northern lake, is the second largest lake of Peru but only of 12 m depth. Situated in a wide plain surrounded by hills I thought it could be an interesting flying area. I climbed one of these hills near the village Caruamayo (quetch. far water), wind very irregular main direction east. Other sea side maybe better. The afternoon was nevertheless interesting, since one of the locals showed me one of the 30 cm long endangered giant frogs (Batrachophrynus macrostomus) ...
